Maidstone
Maidstone is the county town of Kent and is a substantial commercial and administrative centre.
It has a population in excess of 150,000 with major occupiers including Kent County Council, Mouchel Parkman and Ace Europe Insurance together with many major manufacturing, production, and distribution occupiers.
The town benefits from the successful Chequers Mall Shopping Centre. The retail choice was significantly increased in 2006 with the opening of the Fremlins Walk Shopping Centre. A significant number of new restaurants, cafes and bars have opened within the last 5 years.
The M20 motorway passes directly north of the town and provides 4 separate junctions to the urban area. The M20 gives easy access to the M26, M25 London orbital motorway and the remainder of the national motorway network. The Channel Ports/Tunnel, Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted airports and Central London are all within approximately 1 hour’s drive of the building.
Maidstone East main line railway station provides direct services to Victoria, Charing Cross and London Bridge, with journey times of approximately 1 hour and, together with the town centre, is 10 minutes walk from Springfield House.
